I could fly on – one two three…

(A small blind boy of twelve years of age with his dad in a car in springtime on a curvy road surrounded by colourful trees)

“Hey dad, is it kind of a roller coaster ride? It feels like the butterflies are flying in my stomach! It is so windy. I can feel the cool fresh air on my cheeks. I feel so excited! I have goose pimples all over my body!

Hey dad, what is this smell? It seems like it must have just rained. I can smell the wet land. You know, this smell gives birth to a new life in me! I feel filled with some magic in my chest when I take a deep breath. This magic potion creates a spell on my mind! It takes me to a world of fantasy.

Hey dad, what is this sound? Is it the sound of the leaves of the trees? Are trees also dancing in the wind? How do they look? How tall are they? Are they beautiful? Which colours are they?

I wish I could see a tree

Run on this earth so free

I wonder, in thunder,

I could fly on – one two three…

I want to be a galloping horse

There is some unknown force

It helps me, it guides me,

With strong energy source…

I wonder what’s this smell

It has a magical spell

On a stick of broom, I go whroom whroom,

To places you can tell…

On such a beautiful day

One more thing I will say

The song I hear, of birdie near,

Who’s passing by my way…

I wish that I could drive you

Show you world from my view

By my side, you’ve stood with pride,

Hey dad, I so much love you…

Hey dad, is this kind of a thrilling ride or a fairytale world about which mom told me the stories? Hey dad, are there fairies around? Hey dad, how would those fairies be like? Hey dad, was mom like a fairy? I wish I could reach her and fly on a count of – one two three...”

A little puppy lost and found

Shiney was a little pup

He drank milk from round blue cup

Wagged his tale when got a bone

Jumped and danced on whistling tone

One day Shiney stepped out of home

He forgot where he came from

Unknown people unknown face

Way to home he could not trace

Shiney got so scared and cried

To find the way he so much tried

Then he heard a whistling tone

All his worries just had gone

He’s back home with happy heart

Alone from home he’ll never start

At home he feels so safe and sound

A little puppy lost and found

One day my freedom called me

One day my freedom called me

I have a chance it told me

It gifted me the wings to fly

Air so fresh in pure blue sky

Breaths of hope that never die

Nothing can now just hold me…

One day my freedom called me

I have a chance it told me

It gave me back my songs and dance

I feel my world is in the trance

Galloping horses in my heart

There is a race within me…

One day my freedom called me

I have a chance it told me

Don’t look back, don’t keep a track

It said don’t think of world so fake

I can now just be myself

Hide and seek ends, find me…

One day my freedom called me

I have a chance it told me

Give me a paint brush

Give me a paint brush and I will paint a dream…

The green of fresh grass, the blue of open sky,

The yellow sun smiling at me when in heat I fry;

The white of wise moon feeling proud to shine with borrowed light,

The red of rose and the pink of weather just right;

The black of night with silver glittery stars,

And there stands a little princess with golden heart!

Water: reflecting life

Water is life, or,

Is life water?

We can see our reflection in the water but do we ever realize how water reflects our lives many times?

Sometimes we are calm and composed as beautiful peace giving lake,

Sometimes we are stormy as the ocean and full of wavy emotions and thoughts,

Sometimes we get sucked in to the whirlpool of the circumstances,

Sometimes we have to find our ways or create our ways in life like a free flowing river and reach to our goals.

As the colours mix with water changing its colour, why can’t we be open and welcome the changes in our lives?

As water allows sugar, salt and lemon to mix with it to make it a tastier and refreshing drink, why can’t we allow ourselves to learn new things in life and become better human beings?
