We inspire our creative thoughts in many ways. More we observe and explore our surroundings; more we generate new ideas from that. Exposure to different art works of different artists of different places doing their creative work in various fields can also inspire us to come up with new thoughts. Just seeing the good work can provoke an artist within us.
Many times we have limited time with us and we have to crack a unique idea. How do we do that? If we have practiced coming up with new ideas within given time and if we have done some thought provoking exercises, it surely helps us at such times.
Many times, we can also invent our own ways of portraying a same thing differently than its usual manner. It is called “out of the box” thinking. We are so used to doing the same things in the same ways that we can’t think of the alternatives. Why do we bind our minds? We can first come up with ten different ideas without stopping our mind to think in any particular direction. Once that process is done, we can decide on which idea is feasible and discuss it with the other group members.
Research is also a helpful tool as it gives us the base to prove our point and elaborate upon our idea. If we can get to the root of the problem, from there itself we can think of the solutions at different points.
Visual creativity depends upon the knowledge of different subjects like, colours, space, lighting, time of the event, visual puns etc. More knowledge we have on these subjects, more effectively we can communicate our ideas visually.
One spark of an idea can lead us to making strong, communicative and effective visuals. They can be related to art, painting, advertising or visual storytelling of cinema.
Idea is the key to success in any creative field!
